Sporian Microsystems Acknowledged by Lafayette 2016 Green Business Recognition Program

City of Lafayette, Colorado's Energy Sustainability Advisory Committee (LESAC) recognized 52 businesses for sustainability gains in five categories; energy, waste, water, transportation, and community in its sixth annual Green Business Recognition Program. The Green Business Program is a collaborative effort of LESAC, the Lafayette Waste Reduction Advisory Committee (WRAC), Boulder County Partners for a Clean Environment (PACE), and Xcel Energy, and is funded in part by a Boulder County sustainability matching grant.

"We've initiated a recycling program to reduce waste, added high efficiency aerators to cut water consumption and we have a large number of employees who commute via bicycle," said Dr. Michael Usrey of Sporian. "This is the second year in a row that Sporian has been recognized. Our team takes sustainability seriously."
