Sporian Microsystems Acknowledged by Lafayette 2015 Green Business Recognition Program

City of Lafayette, Colorado's Energy Sustainability Advisory Committee (LESAC) recognized 41 businesses for sustainability gains in five categories; energy, waste, water, transportation, and community in its fifth annual Green Business Recognition Program. The Green Business Program is a collaborative effort of LESAC, the Lafayette Waste Reduction Advisory Committee (WRAC), Boulder County Partners for a Clean Environment (PACE), and Xcel Energy, and is funded in part by a Boulder County sustainability matching grant.

"We've updated all of our HVAC systems with high-efficiency replacements," said Dr. Michael Usrey of Sporian. "We have also switched to more efficient lighting. In addition to the energy savings, these upgrades create a much more pleasant work environment."
